Christine Baldwin was born and raised in the hardwood industry, starting to “work” for the family business Buckeye Hardwood & Lumber Co. in 1983, as a two-year old doing deliveries along with her mom and dad. Chris also spent her childhood working in her father Hank’s construction business, doing everything from roofing houses to laying floors to operating heavy equipment. During high school and college, Chris worked for Buckeye Hardwoods delivering products to customers and making flooring and molding in the mill.
Later, she moved into the office managing the accounting, human resources, payroll, and marketing for Buckeye Hardwoods. She completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting and her Master of Accountancy degree from the University of Montana. After college, she continued with her role in the management of the family business. She continues in the position of Accounting & Marketing Manager for Bison Hardwood.
She lives with her husband Ron and their three children, in the same canyon in the mountains that she grew up in. She enjoys spending time with her family, especially travelling and enjoying the great outdoors.
